KICKOFF MEETING

A general meeting of the principals involved in a project for the purpose of outlining responsibilities as they relate to project requirements. The term kick-off meeting is often used for the initial meeting held to plan and discuss the organization, parameters, and Constraints involved in the preparation of a Proposal, or Cost Estimate, etc.

KNOWN-UNKNOWNS

Future incidents or situations, that are possible to plan for or predict in part. For example, schedule changes are certain to take place in most projects, however, the exact extent of the changes is unknown.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

For Proposal, the in-depth understanding of all aspects and ramifications of the system mission, concepts, objectives, requirements, and specifications relative to the Design constructs, couplings, and linkages already incorporated in the preexisting software that is to be Rehosted.
